Oh my gosh, something that isn't Chrono Crusade?! Blasphemy!
But here's another series I really enjoy-- Full Metal Panic!
I've actually wanted to do this particular picture for a while now.. and though it's taken me a few hours a day for nearly a week to complete it (I generally never spend more than 3-5 hours on one piece), I've been taking it slow to get feedback from my friends on what I should fix while in the process of making it.
For those wondering about the significance of the yellow ribbon, it's America's current symbol of support for our troops who are overseas-- whether or not we support the war, we support our young men and women who put their lives on the line for us. That's something I strongly believe in, even if I do not support the war itself.
Though Full Metal Panic! isn't exactly a series with the same message (And Mithril isn't an organization with allegience to any particular country, I believe..?), I think it works out-- though he may be elsewhere, and doing things she can't know about, Sousuke is never far from Kaname's mind.
....or something like that, anyway >_>;
Enjoy! I'm making a limited number of posters, the proceeds of which will all go to the American Red Cross. When I do prints of these, half the proceeds go to the Red Cross as well-- so I won't be selling them on Deviant Art
Around her hair she wore a yellow ribbon. She wore it in the springtime in the early month of may. And you asked her why the heck she wore it... she wore it for that solider who was far far away.
OMG!!!That's a beautiful artwork!!! I like it!!! In my country, yellow ribbon is some kind of a community project that gives ex-convicts a 'second chance'
